Ruse Brewing is an artisanal brewery inspired by Portland's creative community & culture. These attributes are what inspire us to create our art: craft beer.
We brew small batch, flavorful, and thoughtfully-crafted beers. We work with local artists and musicians to design beers paired with their art for concept events and beer releases. Our community is a major inspiration for our company vision, we will do what it takes to be involved and support other businesses and organizations.

16 oz. can, pours jet black with a medium tan head. Aroma is full of dark roasted malt, soft espresso, dry cocoa powder and a health dose of hoppy bitterness. Flavour is bold, with deep roasted malt, woody hops galore, and some dry espresso to balance it out. Super smooth palate, with absolutely expert balance between the roast and woody hops. Absolutely wonderful take on a classic style.

On tap at brewery. Pours clear pale gold with white head. Flavour has a ton of woody pine character, dry and sharp, excellent. Great Chinook expression.

On tap at brewery. Pours opaque dirty orange, bubbles like a bog, residual sludge. What the everloving fuck. Aroma has tons of fruit and leafy stems. Just smells and tastes like a thick fruit smoothie, no hops or malt that would indicate a relationship to beer. This would be a great smoothie, but I cannot comprehend how this would qualify as a beer.
