On tap at Optimism, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous and piney hops, with candied sugar. Flavour is rather mineraly, with resinous hops, bready malt and caramel. Rather sweet and the hops aren't exactly dialed in right. Not so convincing.

On tap at Optimism, pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out light resinous hops and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with resinous hops, toasted biscuity malt, and a little caramel. Dry and toasty. Okay.

On tap at Optimism, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with rich bourbon barrels upfront, followed by considerable vanilla, and fairly low level roastiness. Flavour follows suit, with intense bourbon barrels and vanilla dominating upfront, somehow with the booze, with low roast. So much vanilla and bourbon. Lovely.

On tap at Optimism, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium roast and vanilla beans. Flavour is a bit flat, with subtle vanilla, medium roast and biscuity malt. Moderately roasty and rather obscured. Not too well-dialed in.

On tap at Optimism, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp biscuity malt, not a whole lot else. Flavour is crisp and clean, with biscuity malt and crisp crackery malt. There are some subtle bittering hops balancing this out. Crisp and clean.

On tap at Optimism, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp grassy hops and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is crisp, with totally fermented out honey, grassy hops, and crisp crackery malt. Crisp, grassy and dry, with a punchy, slightly honey-tinged finish. This is really impressive.
