5oz at brewery. Looks very thick and muddy brown. Aroma is not acidic, low on assertive black malts (explains the color). Sort if baked goods maltiness with some cocoa and lightening mineral maltiness. Flavor is mild big. With soft malts and sweetness creating a full flavor. Some light malt bitterness at the end. Full rounded and mineral lightness on the finish. Low hops. Rare type of Impy nowadays.

32 oz growler, poured, filled at Hop and Hound. Thick and hazy golden orange pour. Haze craze continues. Faze craze. A nice cream body constant, with a ton of grassy hops, and a grainy background. Straw like grains. Slight sweet to the creamy constant. Cool and flavorful. Thick and hazy IPA without all the fruit like character. A fun, slightly unique take on the NE IPA in my opinion. Very good.

Draft 8 oz pour at Chucks CD. Shiny golden pour. I really had a hard time with this one. I almost feel like it was a bad batch. Aroma was dank, harsh, green pepper, vegetable like hops. Really couldn't get over the nose on this, but the flavor was decent. Hops outweigh the grains, a strange plastic aftertaste. Not my hop profile. Not my IIPA. Add this to the retry list and hope it was a bad pour that I had.

Draft 12 oz pour at Standard, Seattle. Coffee black pour with a loose bubble head. Soft, slightly sweet toasty malts, a hint of chocolate. Quite refreshing, which is a trait I rarely use to describe a stout. Flavorful. Well put together. Excellent session stout here.

Draft 12 oz pour at Standard, Seattle. A mostly clear golden pour with a thin, patchy active head. Straw, fresh apple aroma. Flavor is a nice tart apple, straw grains, soft sour fruit finish. 5/10 softness. Flavorful and refreshing. Pretty good stuff.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. Clean, pale golden pour with a thin, oily head. Dank, earthy hopped aroma. Flavor is very hop heavy. Dank for sure. The most distinct hop profile in my opinion, and this is no exception. A little juicy. Melon hop finish. Interesting pale. Good Mosaic hop showcase. Not bad.

Draft pour at Winter Beer Fest. Near black pour with a patchy tan head and full lacing. Heavy chocolate filled aroma. Flavor is surprisingly bitter for me, a ton of the expected chocolate, which is nice. A chocolate sweetness is heavy throughout, but still loses to the bitterness. A very nice sipper. Still drinks under the 11.5. Not my favorite stout, but overall enjoyable.

Draft pour pint at Some Random Bar. Creamy chocolate brown pour with a tan swirling head. Very impressed with this take on a stout. Much lighter body than most. Very true roasted malt character on showcase here. Toasty and delicious. Not syrupy. Not thick. Mild, nutty, and perfectly sessionable. Chocolate and roasted malt seem to work together nicely here. English style? Overall a very impressive stout.

Draught at the brewery
Dark amber color with creamy head. Nice aroma, with some caramel and spicy yeast note, bread. Good body strength; the mouthfeel is rather dry but soft; good caramel flavor, lightly nutty, with robust bitterness. I wouldn’t notice the wheat.
Well made.

Cloudy golden color. Wonderful hop aroma, it’s very fruity, then also a bit animal and resiny. The mouthfeel is quite sweet, but not cloying; nice background of blond malts, then jammy and juicy hops, a bit more resiny in the final.
Excellent.
