On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, piney hops, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is clean, but much less complex, with light Belgian yeast, dry biscuity malt and dry hopping galore. Very dry, quite bitter and subtly Belgian-esque. Not the most refined beer, but it's pleasant, if a bit harsh.

Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color, almost black. Strange smell, treacle, cream, maybe butter. Dark caramel flavor, quite roasty, too much actually, and some dark chocolate. The burnt feeling in the final is too much.
Messy.

Draught at the brewpub; sleeve
Hazy golden color with compact head. It has a mild spicy character, it’s quite sweet, North American style, and strangely also sour, not expected.
But overall it’s not bad.

On cask at Yaletown, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of liqueur-covered dark fruits, vanilla beans and whiskey. Flavour has a lot going on, with notes of vanilla beans, dark fruits, Irish whiskey and oak. Medium sweetness, with a good balance of flavours. Harmonious and very pleasant to drink. Very good.

Draft - Nitro - Lots of toast and some chocolate. Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Dark roast, lots of toast and cocoa. I don’t get coffee at all, but tons of toast. Nice, but not true to deacription.

Draft - Light grains. Clear gold with a decent white head. Light grains and some more grains and finishes with grains. Very grainy.

Draft - Sweet and very eatery Belgian yeasts. Clear gold with a decent white head. Very sweet and tons of sweet Belgian eatery yeast. Way too much yeast profile for me.

On tap at Irish Caskival at YBC. The beer is very balanced - aroma, taste and aftertaste are vanilla, whiskey, roasted malt, cake’s cream. Wow!

On tap at Big Ridge, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a reddish tinge and a medium creamy tan head. Aroma brings out light coffee notes and somewhat metallic toasted malt from the nitro. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter dry coffee and metallic toasted notes. Creamy mouthfeel but quite astringent on the finish with metallic qualities and bitterness. Needs some tweaking.

On tap at Big Ridge, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, fruity esters and biscuity notes. Flavour is very fruity, with Belgian yeasty, loads of fruity esters, light floral notes and a soft biscuity malt component. Pillowy mouthfeel with everything in good balance. Well-constructed and drinkable, but not terribly exciting. Solid.
