Tasting at Erik's
Hazy dark amber color with large beige head. Aroma of caramel, parmesan, mild aroma of dark fruits. Smooth mouthfeel, caramel and malt flavor, not much depth, moderately sweet, some fruity esters, strong alcohol perception, a bit nutty, traces of parmesan, rough final.
Messy and chaotic.

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark caramel amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very sugary, with caramel, brown sugar, and cotton candy. Flavour is very sugary, with cotton candy, brown sugar, and caramel. Sugary and unbalanced. Not good.

Bottle - Cooked brown sugar and light prune. Clearish copper with a small white head. Sweet raisin and more sweet raisin. Did I say sweet raisin?

Dark amber-brown. Thin head. There's a toasty, nice bit of caramel on that, and a light malt accent. It's a basic bw, but still has nice malty elements.

Draft 5 oz pour at Figurehead. A clean, shiny caramel color pour. Disappearing head. A sweet, almost boozy aroma. Surprised to get a boozy aroma from a lighter Belgian. Flavor is a bit harsh as well. Banana ripe notes, with some floral hints. Lingering ripe banana, Belgian yeast. Overly sweet. A miss for me. Just a bit off.

Draft 5 oz pour at Figurehead. A clean, pale golden pour. A ton of floral character. Clove and spice. Refreshing saison. Has a paired cool and spice finish. Interesting saison. Flavorful and enjoyable for sure.

Draft pour to a taster at Figurehead. A cooper orange pour. Toasty and sweet paired grain aroma. Cool flavor. Toasty. Caramel. Cool linger. Fun and flavorfulaged. Quite nice addition to the style here.

Draft 13 oz pour at Figurehead. A golden orange pour. No lasting head. A floral and cool botanical nose. Flavor is a ton of rosemary. Floral, and a bit soapy. Has a spicy herbal constant. More botanical flavors. Cool, and somewhat refreshing. Nice saison, but a little heavy in some strange flavors for my taste.
