On tap at beer star. Pours out a dark amber topped with the tan head. Nose is light pit fruit caramel toffee and a light nutty touch. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts some light fruit.

Draft 13 oz pour at Figurehead, Seattle. Enjoyed side by side with the nitro version. Fun style to see presented on nitro too, though it sends appropriate the more I think about it. Dark reddish pour with a quick fading head, on the co2 out of course. Roasted malt aroma, but mild. Caramel. Flavor is both a sweet and spice malt, with a cool caramel constant. Can’t really pick up the nice flavors this beer has. Its smooth and creamy, and refreshing, but hides the good qualities in the beer. Soft fruit with a sturdy malt. Unique, and very interesting. Solid brew.

Draft pour at opening weekend, rating from notes. Clear copper brown with a disappearing head. Heavy sweet aroma of caramel malt and a sturdy brown sugar and maple. Very nice brown here, with a low bitter nutty malt, sweet maple syrup without the texture to go with, and a nice hop quality. Overall, an outstanding brown ale, and the most memorable beer from their opening day roster. Very much enjoyed this.

On tap at Figurehead, pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out lots of hoppy astringency, with toasted caramel malt. Flavour brings out a hop profile that is more pronounced on the bitterness and lots of sweet caramel malt. Not too well-balanced, with an aggressive hoppy astringency. Not my type of IPA.

On tap at Figurehead, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted biscuity malt and a touch of residual sweetness. Flavour is similar, with very lightly roasted malt, extremely subtle coffee and dry cocoa. Not especially pronounced, but clean and drinkable. Decent.

Draft pour at Figurehead. Shiny golden color with a fizz halo head. Spice malt aroma with a hop bitter aroma. Flavor is slight cream caramel, mild, gentle malt finish. Refrains from being sweet or too rich. Calm, easy drinking beer. Less than expected bitterness. All worked out nicely here.

On tap at Figurehead, pours a hazy dark copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt, with subtle English hopping and a little toasted caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted bready malt, vague English hopping and a touch of caramel. Dry finish, with the English malt pronounced. Meh.

Draft pour at Figurehead. Copper color pour with a patchy head. Aroma is sweet caramel, slight metallic, dark fruit. Flavor is a bit nutty. Surprisingly more sweet than bitter. Gentle bitter with a refreshing finish. A little different in the style boundary. Tasty.
