Description
Carlsberg’s brewery in Valby, Copenhagen was founded by JC Jacobsen on 10th November 1847.
In 1970, Carlsberg merged with the other leading Danish brewery, Tuborg. Carlsberg Danmark became a fully owned subsidiary of the Carlsberg Group in 2000 and merged with Coca-Cola Tapperierne Danmark in 2001.
Carlsberg has also owned the Wiibroe brewery in North Zealand since 1964 and began brewing Wiibroe beer in 1998.
Carlsberg Danmark is the country’s leading producer and supplier of beer and soft drinks. Carlsberg, Tuborg and Coca-Cola are among the strongest brands in Denmark, giving Carlsberg a 63% share of the beer market and 50% of the soft drinks market.
Address is office only. Production site address: Vestre Ringvej 111, 7000 Fredericia.
Carlsberg Danmark is also enjoying great success in the fast developing speciality beer market. Through the Semper Ardens series, launched in 1999, the Jacobsen Brewhouse, which opened in 2005, and the Kongens Bryghus series, launched in 2007, it has gained a leading position in the sector.
At the end of 2008, Carlsberg Danmark moved all production from its Valby site in Copenhagen to the Carlsberg brewery in Fredericia, thus leaving the industrial Valby site open for a town development project.

Unharmonisch-künstliches Aroma nach Gummibärchen, klebrige Süße, leicht malzig, sehr schlecht eingebundener Alkohol. Für mich nahezu ungenießbar.

Bottiglia.

Can 33 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a lacing, white head. Aroma of sweet corn. Light body, a dry clean.....maltiness? Or rather corn or rice as starch. Absolutely no bitterness. Not unpleasant but a beer for people who don't like beer. 150225

Can from a rest area store near Köln. Aroma is mostly just sweetish malt and grains with a hint of alcohol. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Very dull sweet malty stuff.

Can from a rest area shop in Denmark. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, dark chocolate, touch of coffee. Flavour is medium sweet with some roasty bitterness in the bittersweet finish. Body is medium to full. Surprisingly well-realised Baltic Porter from a macro corporation. Credit where credit is due, I guess.

From tap at an Indian restaurant in Copenhagen. Aroma is malt, caramel, buttery notes, toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Yuck! Lots of nasty buttery notes and dull malts, not for me.
