Vom Faß im Drei Kronen 1308, Peking. - Schönes Kastanienbraun, klar, stabiler Schaum. - In der Nase feines Rauchmalz und schöne dunkle und karamellige Malzaromen. - Antrunk schlank mit sehr dezentem Rauch auf köstlichem Dunkel- und Karamelmalz mit tiefen Melanoidinen, Kaffee und Anklängen an Whisky. Eine zart säuerliche Note tritt anfangs etwas zu deutlich hervor, fällt aber zum Ende hin nicht mehr besonders auf. Schlank, glatt und sehr süffig. Im Abgang milder aber aromatischer fränkischer Hopfen und leichte Schinkennoten. - Schlankes, sehr sauber gearbeitetes Lager, nur dezent rauchig aber mit reichem Malzcharakter. Hätte nicht erwartet, so etwas in Peking zu finden.

Dark brown, but a bit dull and hazyy. Still looks gorgeous with a big frothy head - quite appetizing. The aroma is mostly toasty. The palate is too, with a hint of artificial chocolate. Not as complex as the other two.

Cloudy yellow-tan. Big fluffy head. Fresh bread with a little bit of yeasty dustiness. Lightly bready palate. Quite dry, maybe even with alcohol. Decent...sort of Asian-brewpub style German beer (if you’ve been around Asia you know what I mean) but made quite well.earthy,
