Description

Tap at CiderCider. Clear bright golden with small white head. Dry apple peel, soft apple mush, quite some herbs and light fresh grass. Light sweet and sour and over light bitter. Over light bodied, quite dry finish. Not bad but a bit simple and too bitter.

Bottle shared from CiderCider. Slight hazy golden with small white head. Lemon, weird herbs, soft ginger, lemon balm, soft dry apple, light mint. Medium sweet, light sour and bitter. Under medium bodied with bit fizzy carbonation. I disagree with the other ratings, this is super drinkeable and nice. OK it’s more of soft drink, but very tasty.

75cl bottle. Pours a clear gold, thin white head with persistent bubbles. Soft apple orchard fruit on the nose. Clean & spritzy on the palette. Soft apple sweetness, nice fruity blend that shines through, some caramel, fairly straightforward without much complexity. Enjoyable, light.

25ml bottle @ Poco Burger, Chamonix. Pours clear gold, soft medium-sweet cider aroma. Taste is clean, simple, medium-sweet. Fairly light-bodied. Not the fruitiest Doux, but fairly straightforward and drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Val de Rance Cidre Doux on 14 Oct 2024 at 18:10 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: 1 litre plastic bottle from Auchan, Longuenesse. Pours a murky deep orange amber. very soft carbonation. Aroma of cider barn, lightly caramelised fruit. Flavour profile has a smooth, natural unfiltered feel, expected it to be more fleshy and fruity, but has some juicy moments alongside a light tang. Ok but Loic Raison's similar offering is much better.

Bottle shared at De La Garde. Pours clear amber, not very carbonated. Light minerals nose, apples and apple skins, light sweetness next to acidity. Taste has lots of tart tannin-filled apple skins, sweet but not cloying, good sparkling mouthfeel. Really well drinkable, stagnant, could drink a lot of this refreshing apple drink.
