Description
In the little town of Creemore, we’ve spent a lot of time honing our signature beers — driven by our dedication to big taste and the time-honoured tradition of European brewing.

Since 1987 we’ve fire-brewed our beer in small batches in an authentic copper kettle, using pure spring water sourced just around the corner from a natural artesian well.

From this small-town craft-brewing heritage came an enthusiastic commitment to local food and makers.

BATCH HOUSE is a warm gathering place for good food, cold beer, and friendly people, in the heart of the city. Everything we serve has been carefully curated and crafted by hand because that’s the way we do it back home.

On tap at Batch, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a fragrant balance of roasted malt and earthy, piney hops - smells great. Flavour certainly delivers, with a robust, bitter piney and earthy hop character, backed by a mean roasted malt backbone. Great to see black IPAs like this still being made. Expertly executed and powerful. Excellent.

On tap at Batch, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out English bready malt, a touch of herbal hops, and some fungal notes. Flavour is clean, with a lot of those fungal notes kicking through, along with sweet bready malt. Pleasant and fairly authentic, but not overly interesting.

On tap at Batch, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small beige head. Aroma is full of banana, followed by tons of esters, cotton candy and a hint of clove. Flavour is full of bubblegum, a little clove, and plenty of banana-like esters. It's decently constructed, just not my favourite style; the esters are too pronounced here for me.

On tap at Batch, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals gentle piney hops and crisp biscuity malt in good balance. Flavour is crisp and punchy, with a great west coast piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Punchy and bitter. Great stuff.

Tap at brewpub. Pale amber colour and small white head and lace. Piney hoppyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Clean and same time decent pine-resiny hoppyness. Nothing stands out but well-brewed ipa.
