Pours with soft brown body and minimal foam, smells of brown sugar and those cheap halloween candies. Flavour is soft caramel and mountain dew. Mouthfeel is cloying. This is a big miss for an ESB.

Pours with good beige foam on a nice black body, smells of nice sweet dark milk chocolate. Flavour is good sharp cocoa with hints of sweet barley. Nice dryness on the mouth. This is decent and filling.

Nothing but sweet coriander on the nose, has a tinny semi-clear copper body. Flavour is floral hops with sweet caramel, not boozy, though slightly syrup. Full and warming mouthfeel. A nicely made attempt.

Smells of sweet syrupy chocolatey cherry hazelnut yet not too cloying. Has great creamy foam on top of a dark blackish body. Flavour is good chocolatey cherry, like a starbucks mocha. Mouthfeel is crisp and smooth. This is full and sugary, very dessertish and highly drinkable.

Smells of soft hops and sweetness, has a weak yellow body with minimal foam. Flavour is strong booziness, vague grain notes, and thin hops trying to hold it together. Crisp carbonation. None of this is working great together.

Smells of soft nutty molasses, has a dark brown body with okay foam. Flavour is nutty barley, sweet but simple. Mouthfeel is full enough. This does the job, well done, straight ahead.

Bottle from High Point, Vancouver
Golden to light amber colour, hazy; small compact head. The arom ais too mild, hints of malt, caramel, almost no hop. Lean body, quite strong malt flavour but not sticky, there is some caramel, some husky malt, some bread; old style hopping, focusing more on the bitterness, with a touch of bitter orange, no hop brightness.
West Coast IPA, old style IPA, but not too extreme in being so. Pleasant.

Growler from the brewery, brought back to the mainland the fast way (helicopter) and stored for a few days. This pours a deep cloudy pink with plenty of carbonation, small bubbles, and great white-pink foam on top. The aroma is a nice soft raspberry, skins and tannins, nothing overbearing nor too sugary and also letting a bit of malt shine through. The flavour is a nice malt-raspberry mix, just the right amount of biscuit and fruit skin. Mouthfeel is ever so slightly watery but it works. The low alcohol isn't missed, this is nice, very nice.

Smells of sweet honey sugar. Has medium gold with modest head. Flavour is average sweet grain, mouthfeel is full I suppose. This is very mediocre.
