Smells of sweet honey sugar. Has medium gold with modest head. Flavour is average sweet grain, mouthfeel is full I suppose. This is very mediocre.

Murky dark brown body with no foam, very soft chewy sweet barley on the nose. Flavour is a soft barley with a kind of sweet black tea character with plenty of sugar. Full enough on the mouth. Unique if nothing else, I've never tasted a porter like this. I'm not sure if I like it but I will certainly remember it.

Soft malts on the nose, weak foam on a copper clear brown body. Flavour is nice maltiness, biscuit, with a fullness on the mouth. Neither interesting nor complex but a decent and reliable pub drinking beer.

Tasting at Mattβs
Dark brown color, near black. Smell of medicines and chemicals. Off-dry, overly carbonated, and with a nasty infection, sour, just mildly roasty.
Drainpour.

Bottle - Cocoa and a touch of molasses. Deep jet brown with a small light brown head. Burnt molasses and light sour and sweet thin notes. Not good at all.

650mL bottle -- I think this is old -- pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of lactose, toasted pecans and cardboard. Flavour is a total mess, with nasty sourness and cardboard upfront, followed by light whiskey harshness and lactose. Fucking nasty stuff. Might be a bit old, but this is seriously terrible.

On tap at Wolf, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is very restrained, with light bready malts, not much else. Flavour is pretty weak, with toasted malt and a light residual honey sweetness. Pointless blend of two shitty beers - what do you think is the result?
