A collaborative effort of Wallace’s Chase Sanborn, Dean Cooper, Rick Magnuson and the Zanettis, the brewery pays homage to the town’s notorious past, creating a brand of beers with mining and bordello-inspired monikers such as ‘Dirty Blonde’, ‘Jackleg Stout’, ‘RedLight Irish Red Ale’, and ‘Idaho Select Light Lager’ .
“We want to brew in the honest spirit of the mining heritage,” General Manager, Chase Sanborn said. “It’s not only the prevailing reputation of the town, but also one that can elevate the Wallace Brewing brand.

Taster at Wallace. Foggy golden pour, paper thin head, light lacing. Bready aroma, grainy. Taste brings in some sweetness, bready. Light bodies, dries out towards the finish.

13 oz can light golden amber soft grainy cereal malts and a touch of grassy hops. Bland earthy. Was hoping for a little more bright crisp hippiness

Aroma is caramelly, bready. Taste has a bready, caramel malt sweetness backed by moderate hop bitterness. Toasty, caramel-tinged flavors. I was expecting way less. I had this years ago but I don’t remember it being this good.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Clear, light brown pour, thin layer of off-white head. Light toasty, nutty aroma, some sweetness. Taste follows with a nice clean malt bill, mildly sweet, toasty, some chocolate. Very smooth and pleasant.

12oz can pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice light berry notes some light corn grain notes and grass hops. Taste is more of the nice light berries some grain malts and a nice end.

Draft at Matlack's. Light amber pour with a one finger creamy head, clumpy lacing. Gorgeous. Light malty aroma, a little bit of hop bite. Taste is malt forward, toffee with some zesty hops on top, pine and citrus. Creamy feel.

On tap at CoppenRoss pours a clear medium chestnut brown. Fine dense lasting tan head. Light toasted malts throughout. Smooth and crisp. Lingering light woody bite.
