At Gigantic we only do two things: make the best damn IPA in Portland, Oregon and produce seasonal, exciting, flavorful beers, most of which will be brewed only once. Our goal is simultaneously to create new interpretations of classic styles and to ignore those same style guidelines completely and brew whatever our creative natures produce.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes and maple extract. Taste is also a mix of roasted malt alt with some maple extract and some black chocolate notes. Body is too thin for the style with good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. A bit of a miss for me with too much maple extract and not enough body.

Can from Tavour. Pours translucent gold with a large white head. Aroma has a lot of grapefruit. Med body and very smooth texture. It's juicy with a little sweetness, but a whole lot of grapefruit bitter. Some pine and floral, but not resin, are in the mix. A light touch of grapefruit pith. Good flavor.

16 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige bead. Aroma is loaded with peated whiskey, toffee, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is rich and peated, with tons of Islay barrels, followed by dark fruits, toffee, and toasted caramel. The barrels really carry this. Real nice peat character—the base beer is good enough to support the barrels. Very good.
