A deep dark porter with no head. In aroma, sweet dough chocolate with alcohol, a bit strange. In mouth, nice smooth chocolate with light maple notes, dark fruits, alcohol warmth, decent. Cask at Cask Days 2012.

Smells a little odd. Pours black with some head but no lacing. Watery body with some fizziness. There is some nutty bitterness in the aftertaste. On tap at volos.

Initial smell is mostly just boozy. Malt doesn’t come out until afterwards. There’s something weird in this one I can’t quite place. Not bad, just odd. Pours black without lacing or head. Taste is really just boozy - big burn at the end. Partly it’s the JD cask that comes out. There isn’t much roasty flavour here - this imperial stout is just different. There’s a tang at the end. Sweet and tangy, not very bitter.

Pours orange with good head and lots of good lacing. Smells very citrusy with some booze and a little orange. Medium carbonation. Taste has citrus peel bitterness and some nice tang. Some malt in here as well. Great IPA.even has a little of a crazy candied scent reminiscent of Thai chicken wing sauce that shows up as it warms up. On tap at volos.

Pours wonderfully. Cloudy amber with great head and complex lacing. Smells a little fruity, a little floal and a little hoppy. Average aroma profile. Palate is OK. A little bitterness in the aftertaste. Some malt as well. On cask at volos.

A brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a smooth chocolate malt with roasted coffee, light vanilla, nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet and bitter chocolate, vanilla, light licorice. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.

Golden color, cloudy, with low carbonation. Mild aroma of cheesy yeast. No carbonation, and very warm, the flavor is quite simple, with some yeast, and low bitterness; very light fruity touch. Imperfect.

Dark brown color, with almost no head. The aroma is a bit vinous, Porto like. Sweetish caramel flavor, with a strong wine barrel presence; correct bitterness. A bit of tannins and astringency in the end.
A bit rough, but interesting.

Black color; almost no head. The aroma is mild, some roasted malt, but also some apple, therefore the fermentation process should be tuned up. Good body strength, round, with good dark caramel flavor, some chocolate, medium-strong bitterness.
Rough but pleasant.
