Bottle pour. Pours murky amber. Loads of caramelised apples and tart skins on the nose. Flavour has tons of deeply caramelized apples, slightly tart apple skins, gentle floral notes. This is excellent.

Poured from 375mL bottle (purchased by Alex in 2015) - issues with the cork falling apart when trying to open it (had to use a sifter to remove the cork bits). Orangey amber, no head, three bubbles. Stewed red apple, caramel, very feint hint of vinegar. Complex and tasty.

375 ml at Alex's shared with Ryan. The bottle with unremovable cork (it was bone dry, Alex!!!!!) that I destroyed, hehe π Appearance: clear copper with no head. Aroma: sweet caramely apples with some berries character. Taste: along the same lines, very sweet with lots of apples and berries. Overal: very nice!

The basic pear here is sweet and bland, roughly in line with the mainstream ciders of the area. Goes to show that the ice ciders are what you want when you come to Double Cross.

The house cider here is a swampy, ropey diacetyl-laden menace that should never be served to the public. Infection running rampant.

Very floral and honeyish, the iced perry also brings a great fruit character, along with a lot of sweetness. Just enough balancing acidity. You donβt see too many iced perries but they are almost always fantastic.

The darkest of their ice ciders, Braeburn has a unique caramelly character that none of the others have. Itβs mainly sweet, but the added sugar complexity lent by the caramelization sets it apart from the simpler Fuji version.

In my tasting at the cidery, this was the goldilocks moment, when the balance was just right. Wonderful sweetness up front, with just enough acidity in the finish to make you crave more. This higher level of complexity had me thinking that the apple character is also more complex, but that was probably illusory.
2025 rate. Ok, this prior review is interesting because this held up perfectly. Still juicy acidity, nice sharpness, bright apple, great complexity, to me excellent balance.
