Bouteille 750ml. Couleur blond pâle, mousse blanche. Arôme de levure, citron léger. Goût de citron léger, céréales. Carbonation faible, corps moyen.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow with white haze color ale with a super large pure white foamy head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of coriander and light wheat malt with some very subtle orange peel notes. Taste is also dominated by coriander with light wheat malt notes and orange peel with a medium sweet finish. Body is about average with great carbonation. Not bad but I would have opted for a fuller body with more coriander.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow ale with white haze and a medium size foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of coriander and light orange peel is quite dominant. Taste is a mix between nice coriander and orange peel notes with medium wheat malt presence and light lingering sweet notes. Body is about average full with medium carbonation. The level of spice is pretty bang on but it lacks a bit of body and better carbonation.

A hazed yellow weizen with a thin white head. In aroma, classic smooth banana malt with cloves, berries, nice and smooth. In mouth., a sweet banana malt with spices, coriander, wood extract, nice. Bottle at Oktoberfest des Québecois 2013.

After having the first two Mons (blonde and white) and having their corks pop on me, I decided to be extremely careful with this one. It was actually fine. Not over-carbonated like the others. Pours a copper colour with a red wine hue. Frothy beige head that is fizzy, with low retention and not much lace, but a small foamy coating over the brew stays. Big nutty yeast nose with some dark fruits (plums, raisins). The body is very carbonated and no burning is felt. Dark fruit flavours with some roasted malts and even hops in the finish. Not bad. Just not really a Dubbel, or at least not a high class one.

Olfactif: Le premier nez laisse échapper des notes de viande séchée, d’épices, de coriandre, d’alcool éthéré. Quelques houblons résineux également. Un nez complexe mais aux arômes un peu désagréables. Visuel: Dorée / Ambrée légèrement floue, la mousse est assez abondante, grosses bulles blanches, de persistance assez longue.Aucune dentelle sur le verre. Gustatif: Acidité marquante en attaque. Présence de bretts? Les houblons sont puissants herbacés et résineux. A travers l’acidité on dénote des accents floraux, des notes de caramel, des sucres de fleurs.Son effervescence est très active en bouche et supporte bien les saveurs.Au fur et à mesure que la bière se réchauffe les accents de malt prennent le dessus avec des notes de petits biscuits au beurre.Si vous réussissez à aller au delà de l’acidité, vous y trouverez une palette de saveurs très complexe. Les bières acides n’’étant pas mon style préféré, j’ai pu quand même apprécier sa grande délicatesse.

Aroma: Yeast nose with citrus and herbal accents: wheat, grain, hay. Mostly farm and country aromas. Nose sticking out average to high. Appearance: Gold blond, slightly hazy with very lively head, sparkling but very long lasting leaving an average lacing. Taste: Slightly malted attack leaving notes of caramelized fruits. Citrus notes are also present with lemon and orange zest. We can feel a very good balance between wheat and hops. Palate is sparkling and soft at the same time. Every zip is different; sometimes hoppy, sometimes malty and sometimes all wheat. There is a perfect balance between these three ingredients. What a surprise. Reminds me Belgian ales but with a much smoother feel. Bravo, une belle réussite.

Elle sentait les bananes ;)) J’aime ça les bananes moi!! Le style surprend mais elle est bonne et c’est ce qui compte.

Bouteille 750ml. Couleur or trouble, mousse blanche crémeuse laissant une dentelle éparse. Arôme de levure, épices, malt, alcool léger, pomme. Goût de levure, épices, malt, girofle, amertume minime, alcool en arrière-goût. En se réchauffant l’alcool devient très apparent. Carbonation élevée, corps moyen.
