Draft at the brewpub. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has primary notes of wheat as well as lighter notes of soap and butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat as well as lighter notes of butter and soap, leading to a dry wheaty finish. I wonder what yeast has been used - either not a Bavarian weissbier yeast - or a more serious problem with the brewing.

Draught: Pale golden, hazy, small firm creamy head, lazy carbonation; pale-malty and hoppy nose with a faint "greenish" touch; moderate to robust, quite dry, bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering dry hoppy finish, accompanied by a light yeasty tartness and a faint fruitiness. A bit unbalanced, but far better than the usual german Hausbrauerei swill.............

Draught: Hazy, deep ruby-amber coloured, small firm beige head; moderate sweet-bitter nose, traces of toasted malt and figues, accompanied by a whiff of alcohol and yeast; medium to full bodied, moderate sweet-bitter flavour; relatively dry bitter-toasty and fruity. Decent by international standards, but excellent by german Hausbrauerei standards.............

Draught at the brewpub: Hazy, reddish-brownish coloured, lively carbonation, firm beige head; yeasty-hoppy nose, "green" with a very faint tinge of toasted malt; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering grainy-hoppy finish, accompanied by some yeasty traces. A coloured Pils, not a Dunkel.............

Cloudy amber color. Aroma of cereals, some caramel. Some caramel flavor, medium body, strong bitterness, and like the others too much bitterness at the end. Average.

Hazy blond color. Nice hoppy aroma. Lean mouthfeel, some malt, but mostly a very strong hopping, well aromatic, but getting too bitter at the end. It has a grassy hop aroma and flavor too. A bit rough for my parameters, but enjoyable.

Cloudy blond color. Mild aroma, a bit lemony. Dry mouthfeel, sharp spicy flavor, lemon peels, surprisingly high bitterness. A correct Weizen.

Bottle 100 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost clear amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. Quite full-bodied with roasted malts, pumpernickel and a distinctly alcoholic and bitter finish. 291208

1 L siphon. Pours clear and golden yellow with a one finger thick and chalk white head. Mild butterish and malt aroma. Mild sweet brewmash malty and first with a solid bitterness taking over and leading into a dry and mild floral hoppy finish. Aroma is a bit off, but flavour is great.
