All this time, Chile was in my (Australian) backyard and I didn’t discover it until after I went to Chile - go figure!

This pours with a poor white head and a rather ruby body, no interest, just bleaaghh as they say in Ecuador. The aroma is of an odd yeast funk, sweet unwashed socks, the thong of a female who has cheated on her spouse just one too many times. The flavour is more brown sugar and vegetable, just more of the same.

Minimal head, medium gold body, heavy carbonation. Soft smell of farts and cardboard. Flavour is an odd vegetal overbearing with soft soya sauce hints. Medium finish, some oiliness. Some sweetness and grain would have been better, this comes off as harsh and a little too sour for a golden ale.

NOTE: This now describes itself as "American Pale Ale" - Dark blond colour with lasting fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of malt body with a little sweetness. Moderately bitter hops with background citrus and tropical fruits. Perfectly balanced and sessionable.

Bottle shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Smooth and fresh malty beginning. Roasted, burned caramel, deep and intense. Somehow burned and sticky, as it should be. Still easy to drink, the beer is fresh and fruity. Hints of plums, round and smooth. Long burned dry caramel bitter aftertaste with frouty hints. Nice.
