Can sample at tasting at Barak Luzon's place. Thanks Stas. Muddy pulpy reddish gray, looks a bit like vomit. Lots of raspberry, faint chocolate note, sharp sourness, lemony, acidic, acetic.

1 pint can. Remember to roll your can before serving. the top of mine was clear red, the bottom was like brown chocolate milk. aroma of red berries, sour wild beery note, faint white chocolate, aroma is like a drink more than like a beer. looks is like a fruit smoothie, brownish with some smoothie like bubbles. flavor is white chocolate, very sour notes from the sour beer, fresh red berries from the raspberries, a lot more citric and sour than I had expected from aroma, sourness resembles sour candy more than sour beer thoguh. When pouring the first bit that was clear from the can, that bit was even more sour.

Can from beergium. tasted 2023-05-15 could be brewed sometime 2021. Nice strong slightly sweet malty aroma, powerful for the style but it is very much just right, really makes me look forward to tasting this one. Besides the malts there are fainter hints, very faint hints of white bread and fruits perhaps even almonds or marzipan. but so faint, only enough to build character and complexity. Flavor is sweet malty, bitterness is a bit all over the place, sometimes a bit sweet herbal, sometimes a bit euro hoppy bitter, but a bit messy. The can could be aged, no best before date on the can only an url that links to their website, website has some dates but not sure if they are correct, even if they are only brewing date is stated, not best before date. so.. I am assuming some of the more funky notes in the bitterness could be from aging. Still, a very decent maibock with lots of flavor, character and also high drinkability. I've had plenty maibock's and this one is very much one of the best ones.

Draft: Poured a deep black with a light brown. Aroma is boozy, sugar, coffee, malty, roasty. Taste is very similar with boozy, vanilla, toffee, roasted malts.

Pint can thanks to hershiser2! 12/29/22. Oh fuck, this is one of those beers with so much protein the head looks like its bullet-proof. Hazy orange, large orange head, perpetual retention. Like, it oozed over the side of the glass and it's just staying there. Like it's some kind of sentient slime from another planet. Oozlefinch, don't be Drekker. Make beer, not gimmicks. After much angst, onto the aroma. Grapefruit, Pine-sol, rot. Fuck. Taste is pineapple, grapefruit, vinegar. Dry, stripped out. Not only badly made, but some infection seems to be here. Fuck. I know I had this a while, but that doesn't excuse this. This is awful.
