Ridiculously hazy, fully opaque (99 per cent) purple, indigo and deep blue coloured body with a very ugly, honeycombed tan head that shows a ton of very large bubbles and nothing smooth or elegant - this is ugly, funky and super odd for a beer - but refreshingly nice enough for the style. Aroma of super soured, tart and funky berries with blackberries, blueberries, grapes and lemons all here with a bunch of vanilla and lactose of course, but none of the malty/graham cracker or earthy notes here - this is all about the fruit and the sourness (beyond tart). Medium-bodied; Fairly sour and funky flavours show up front with a lot of vanilla and lactose of course, but the blueberries, raspberries and blackberries all show strong with a bunch of dryness coupled with the sugars, but the sour notes dominate here along with some slight citrus components as well and a bit of funk and lactobilly notes. Aftertaste is deep, sweet, soured and very fruity with a nice bit of sugars and vanilla coming through and very refreshing, especially in the colder weather months, given that it seems that it's a liquid dessert, given how rich and sweet it is throughout. Overall, a nice and elegant beer with a ton of fruit notes, a bunch of lactose and sugars and a crisp, but rich finish that brings some complexity to the table. Another excellent beer from Oozelfinch and definitely worth trying to find, especially if you can stash it around for a liquid dessert near the holidays - this would be sublime. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from MOM's Organic Market in Alexandria, Virginia on 19-October-2021 for US$5,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-January-2022.
