1/2/2019. Cask at the XT Brewing tap takeover at the New Inn, Colchester. Pours golden with a small just off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, light tropical fruit, light biscuit and a hint of pine. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Easy drinking and pretty decent.

[Cask at the White Horse, Hedgerley.] A bright amber pour with a ring of white head; tropical fruit aroma; soft and smooth in the mouth with tropical fruit and citrus flavours and a touch of caramel; then some liquorice in the finish. Nicely balanced and a bit of a surprise as I was expecting a Golden Ale rather than a White Stout.

4.6% cask gravity at Old Brewery Micropub Maidstone. clear gold colour lasting white head. some sherbet hop. yes decent full blond ale. sherbet lemon hop good temperature and condition. disappeared quickly.

Cask-conditioned at the Siren's Calling, Portishead 24/12/2018. Near black in colour, with reddish undertones and a slight, off-white, head. Dark fruits, some leafy hops, a touch of chocolate and toasty malts before a dryish, creamy finish. Enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Siren's Calling, Portishead 24/12/2018. Amber in colour, with a tight, white, head. An easy drinking bitter, with crisp malts, a touch of fruity sweetness and moderate bitter finish. Fine.

Cask-conditioned at the Prince of Wales, Chippenham 7/12/2018. Golden in colour, with a tight and creamy , white, head. Sweet, slightly toasty malts, lactose, a hint of chocolate and liquorice before a sweet and toasty finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at Heidrun, HW, 30/11/18. Light black with a decent beige covering that thins but stays as a swirl. Nose is dark malts, light roast, charr, chocolate, raisins. Taste comprises mellow roast, light spice, charr, liquorice, cocoa sprinkle, toffee dusty hop back notes. Medium bodies, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid well rounded cask stout.

Cask at Heidrun, HW, 30/11/18. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent faded beige covering. Nose is orange peel, biscuit, caramel, toasted malts, light breads. Taste comprises caramel biscuit, dusty hops, faint pine, orange pith, grassy bite. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Ok stuff.
