Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe, 16/01/16. Pale golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, citric peel, vanilla essence, light bread, melon. Taste comprises toasted malt, orange, mineral strokes, subtle ginger, lemon tinged straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough cask APA, ginger pretty subtle and we’ll integrated.

Cask at the Ale House, Reading. Amber with a thin white head; aroma of apples and berry fruit; light berry fruit taste - almost strawberry - and a pleasant earthy bitterness. A very spring-like beer, just the thing for January.

Bottle courtesy of Barry and Lynn (cheers you two), consumed at home Friday 8th January 2016 Pours reddy brown with a rim of off white. A little nuttiness, malty but little thin, however to be fair I have had two big, big, Belgian beers so it is probably unsurprising that this is a tad thin. A decent enough buy fairly pedestrian bitter. Ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
