From a wooden cask at the 31st Ealing Beer Festival, Walpole Park, 15/07/22. Clear golden with a decent white head. Nose is dried fruits, oak, tannins, pale malts, straw. Taste comprises stewed fruits, light hop presence, oak tones, grains, biscuit, crackers. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow bitter edge. Decent.

Cask at the Cross Keys, Thame. Poured a clear yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, light yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, yeasty, malt, light citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Cross Keys, Thame. Poured a very slightly hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, gluey yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, malt, lemon citrus, big woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at the Craft Beer Shop, Little Chalfont. Poured a crystal clear amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light floral hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, rich, grainy malt, earthy, mineral, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a long bitter finish.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A golden amber pour with a reddish tinge and a ring of white head; leafy hop aroma; sweet hedgerow fruit taste with caramel and blackberries; then a dry finish with a gentle meld of hops. Very satisfying.

The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, light citrus, floral, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
