Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Paul for the can. Almost clear pale gold beer, patchy white head. Light clean malts, mildly sweet. A little nuts. Trace of citrus. Light floral finish. Inoffensive but dull.

Bottle shared at Leightons gaff , 19/09/2016. A very pale yellow coloured pour with a fading white head. Aroma is pale cereal malts, tangy lemon, faint Nobel hops. Flavour is clean crisp cereal grains, apple, paper. Palate is clean and crisp, slightly tangy, highish carbonation. Pretty boring.

Can split at Bespin, thanks to Scoopy, 19/09/16. Pale golden blonde with a decent white head. Nose is straw, lemon rind, citric peel, toasted grains, peanuts. Taste comprises pale malts, grains, straw, light citric infuse, paper, hint of vanilla. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent enough for style, clean and refreshing.

Can shared in London - many thanks to Scopey. Pours totally clear yellow with a thin, white head. Light crispy biscuit nose, cereal, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with faint cereal, light paper, a little bitter hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes we more crispy biscuits, dried cereal, mild bitter hay. Easygoing lager gear.

Keg at Karbach. It pours clear deep brown with a decent light tan head. The aroma is old-school malt double IPA action, bitter - sweet, wood, pine, toffee, resin and some dried fruits. The taste is rich, bitter - sweet, sticky, pine, resinous, toffee, dried fruits, fruit cake, some alcohol warmth and toasty brown sugars with a slick finish. Medium+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Almost like a hoppy American-Style (session) barley wine. Pretty tasty, if a bit old - school.

Can in Houston. It pours clear amber with a decent beige head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, pine, resin, toffee, caramel, sweet lemon and green grassy vibe. The taste is bitter - sweet, piney, resin, caramel, grassy, mild astringency, wood, earth, lemon parfait, pithy with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A bit malty and old-school. Ok for what it is, but there are plenty better out there. 3.2. Update: can from the guys at Karbach (thanks). The beer is crisper, brighter, cleaner and has some orange citrus peel. How it should taste. 3.5
