Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Colin. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The aroma holds lots of ripe citrus, orange, some bready malts, suggestions of caramel. Medium sweet flavor with some leafy hops, orange rind, grapefruit, pine, grainy bread. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with moderate piney resins, some crackers, toasty pale malts, more orange and grapefruit. Pretty nice.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours clear amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is piney, soapy, lemon peel, sherbet, grapefruit, toasty grain and hay. The taste is bitter-sweet, creamy, pine, lemon peel, sherbet, alcohol, lemon meringue, straw, booze and more pine with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit sweet and a touch boozy, but nor bad.

Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a brown-black color with a medium khaki head that recedes gradually. Partial top ring of lace. Bourbon, vanilla and malt in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon and chocolate malt. The finish is roast malt and bourbon. Pretty good overall.

Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Dark amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing. Aroma of bourbon and malt. Full-bodied and slightly syrupy with flavors of oaky bourbon, yeast and malt. The finish is boozy with a bourbon and dark malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
