Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is crisp and light. Food fine carbonation. Light malt. Whisper of vanilla. Light marmalade. Little hop and wood bitterness. Light red wine tang. Light bitter finish. Nice combo of marmalade and red wine. Tasty beer but really wants some dry hopping to bring the dipa character back. Hides the abv well.

Bottle split at Bruce’s Pad, from an IP trade with a real life Texan, as FUN 010, 24/06/14. Lightly hazed orange amber with a a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose us juicy fruits, caramel malts, light tropicana, dark red berry fruits, BA woody tones. Taste comprises mango, grapefruit, tangy apricot, light booze, red wine rinse, Ribena berries, light pine needle - emphasis on ’needle’. Medium + body, fine carbonation, fairly mellow hop bitterness in the close. Decent enough offering. More of a DIPA than #9 in this series but still lacks some hop venom, again could benefit from dry hopping. I iliked this one though.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and light with fine carbonation. Soft malts. Light floral dried fruits. Mellow bourbon. Light malt cream, trace of toffee - caramel. Light airy finish. Tasty and light but really could have used some dry hopping to bring back some ipa character.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Colin. Pours clear amber-gold with a frothy off-white head. The nose has ripe citrus, pale bread, some pine needles. Medium sweet flavor with some booze, berries, orange, bread, a bit of piney bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, some piney bitterness, ripe orange, pale wood. So so.

Bottle as 010 thanks to Colin.it pours deep amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, vinous, red grape skin, candy, cherry skin, vanilla and other stuff. The taste is boozy, candy, alcohol, wood, earth, dried fruits, wood, vinous, resin, wood and stuff with a dry, boozy finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Rough around the edges, but ok.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s Pad from an IP trade with a real life Texan - yeee ha ! 12/06/14. Almost clear golden amber with a moderate light beige swirl. Nose is candyfloss, caramel malt, spice, candied orange peel, light tropicana, hoppy pangs. Taste comprises Caramac bar, light hop presence, spice, toffee, candied fruit peels. Medium + body, moderate carbonation, sweet licks in the close with a lightly warming boozey jacket. Ok, not a DIPA for me, not enough hop presence - had this down as an American Strong.

Bottle big thanks to Colin. It pours hazy amber with a small off-white head. The nose is candied orange peel, orange sponge cake, caramel, light vanilla and oak. The taste is crisp, orange peel, some bitterness, candied fruits, sponge cake, sticky fruits and some booze. Fullish body, fine prickly carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Pretty boozy, but fun stuff anyhow.

22oz bottle pours a murky brown with some spitty, tan head. Nose is cool, piney, grapefruit, bread crust, lightly floral, toast. Flavor is spot on, grapefruit, blood orange, a little nutty, bread crust, toast, lime-ade, pine, soap. Soapy finish. Pretty nice.
