About
An independent, family-run brewery for over 110 years. True Belgian craftsmanship. That's Haacht Brewery.

On June 14, 1898 Eugène De Ro brewed his first top fermentation beer. Four years later he also started brewing bottom fermentation beer. His beers were such a hit that ‘Haecht’s Dairy Company and Brewery’ became one of the best Belgian breweries in 1913. In the fifties and sities there were numerous small takeovers and the Haacht Brewery beers were being distributed across the entire country. Thanks to the take-overs of breweries in the south of the Netherlands and northern France, Haacht Brewery set foot ashore in neighboring countries. In 1990, Haacht Brewery started the complete replacement of its production apparatus; the whole process was completed around 2015. Today, Haacht Brewery is a state-of-the-art brewery, inspired by its history and at the same time more than ready for the future.

Auburn with a foamy, beige head. Aroma of plums, toffee, bananas. Taste is sweet to tart with cherries and plums carrying the finish. Body to the light side of medium, prickly carbonation, watery texture. Not the best Dubbel but still nice.

A reddish purple ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light cherry, light lactic notes, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light loads of cherry pop, light mineral notes, more like a pop. On tap at l'autre oeil.

opalescent golden colour, huge, dense and long lasting white head; aroma of grainy, bread crust, apricot jam, floral and fruity notes; taste has similar notes as can be felt in the aroma...I love tripels but have always difficulties rating them - for me it is one of the most difficult style to rate: triples are generally good beers - and still it is quite difficult to describe in a sophisticated way why; anyway, it is a great tripel!

[33cl bottle from Beer52's Belgian box.] A deep cherry red pour a billowing off-white head; aroma of caramel and Belgian yeast; quite lively in the mouth with a smooth body, some caramel and banana and cloves from the yeast, an unusual taste for a Bruin ale. Interesting.
