~16 oz plastic cup draft at Chihuahua Cerveza in Newport Beach, California. The pour is a clear golden with a minimal white head. The aroma is corn grain, along with a bit of grass. The taste is a clean, straight-forward Mexican Lager with the corn clean malt, grass floral softly in the finish. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and the crisp finish. Worked well with food.

DC Share. 12oz can. Poured a clear, yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was very mild. Big corny sweetness. Pleasant corn. Creamy mouthfeel.

12oz can. Was hoping a decent Mexican Lager, ended up with this crappy beer. Something like Cream Ale malt liquor. Disgusting off aroma sets the stage. Sweet, oddly so, suppose it is the corn/corn syrup. Really not that good. Ticker's lament.

Tall can (1 US Pint 3.2oz), drank at my daughters in Laguna Hills on 26th January 2022. Slight haze to the pale golden body, wispy white head. This is pretty bland to be honest, I picked up more saltiness than any Guava or Lime. It's my third beer from these guys and I have to say they aren't great.

Large tall can (1 US Pint and 3.2 oz's) in the afternoon sun, 5th January 2022, Laguna Hills California. First pour was clean and clear, the second was misty, both were gold in colour, no head on either. Malty/corn front to the nose and taste, light saltiness and a mini citrus twist in the flavour. Didn't take to it.

Curious, a Mexican beer brewed in the States. No matter, I enjoy tasting Mexican styles. I have a single 12 oz can picked up yesterday at The Cellar in Odessa. No chance of doing that today, currently 22F deg with a glaze of ice on the roads. But I celebrate the coming summer with El Primero. Flip the top to smell corn or grain or something. A drink following that and the taste is modestly aggressive for a lager. Biscuit, grain, white bread and a definite touch of sweetness. Then I put a wedge of lime in the can, only better now. I estimate it hits in the middle of the style.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy yellow color with a fizzy white head and poor retention. No lacing. Pours like a soda. Light citrus aroma. As the can says, it has a faint citrus flavor and a faint salted finish. Mission accomplished, I guess. Light and watery mouthfeel. Like all the Chihuahua beers, nothing real bad but nothing worth repeating.

Got this from RaulMondesi. 19.2 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 3/5/2019. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of corn, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity/yeasty corn aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of corn, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a delicious imperial Mexican lager. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish; nicely soft feel. Great clean pils malt/grain showcase, with nice earthy hop presence for the style. Mild on adjuncts. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.
