Bottle. Black, an inch of tan head. Aroma is fruity, roasty and smokey. More plummy than fresh tamarillos are with their slight acidiy mixing nicely with the smoke. Still mostly a porter with roast and dark sugars before decent bitterness for something that I suspect is a bit old. Strongish for what it offers.

(On Tap) Opaque yellow amber with small white head. Lovely juicy aroma with pine hints. Full bodied with plenty of fine carbonation giving great texture. Great taste too. Good and juicy with some gentle bitterness in the finish. Very good.

440ml can from Taste of Love, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is grainy, light boozy alcohol, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, rich, toffee, light floral, light citrus, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Very well hidden alcohol!

[On tap at their waterfront Corner Bar, Auckland.] A hazy amber pour with a thick white head; tropical fruit aroma; smooth and creamy with a tropical fruit taste; and a dry finish with a light bitterness. Very drinkable.

Can. Clear amber with a cm of white head that never disappears. Aroma of pink grapefruit, red berries, light breadcrust. Soft carbonation, medium bodied. Bittersweet with berries and citrus, a little caramel with the bread. Resin creeps in towards the fairly bitter finish. So Epic has survived and are still good at this sort of beer.

I'm excited to see a kiwi beer in a bomber but it's pretty weak. Not bad, just unoriginal.

500mL bottle, exppours a hazy dark amber with a large beige bead. Aroma is clearly infected, with lots of metallic character, harsh bitterness, and a touch of caramel malt. Flavour is aggressively bitter, with metallic notes, harsh bitterness, caramel, and bready malt. Carbonation is awkwardly big. Something went wrong here. Disappointing.
