Bottle. Clear orangeish amber with a white head that doesn't last. 3- Aroma of lots of passionfruit, some mango, melon, mandarin, pine. Very slight savoury herb notes are not enough to spoil the show. Just slightly syrupy. Carbonation is quite low. Sweet with bread crust, some boiled lollies, lots of passionfruit. Bitterness is hard to judge - it takes a while to register but more than struggles through. A breath of booze at the close. Really good for its strength.

500ml bottle. Pours light orange. Grapefruit, lime peel, light biscuit, floral lemon stuff. Medium body. Just a bit light and a bit nothingy.

500ml bottle. Pours clear bright gold with a big fluffy white head. Popcorn, biscuit, bit of passionfruit and mango trying to fight through, unfortunate savoury buttery popcorn finish. Quite a full body which makes it even more cloying. A clearly flawed beer that's the complete opposite of what a pilsner should be. I'm amazed a brewery of Epic's size, stature and reputation allowed such a thing.

On tap at 16 Tun. Pours deep orange. Caramel, grapefruit, huge bitter grapefruit pith, booze, orange juice, synthetic orange, pine. Big oily body. I have been known to say to people that if I have no problem with a lack of balance if it's replaced with huge flavour and this is exactly that. Massive flavour, full of booze, full of citrus, full of caramel. Not balanced, not subtle, but it tastes really good so... Yum.

500ml bottle. Pours clear orange gold. Apricot, caramel, golden syrup, orange, grapefruit, touch of dank pine, clean bitter finish. Good body. An excellent IPA, even by Epic standards.

Bottle. Clear deep gold with a small white head. Shy aroma for an Epic beer with somewhat marmaladeish citrus, bread, tight spices. 7- Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Firmish -- but not terribly interesting -- pale malt, oranges, some peach, spices build towards a rather bitter and slightly resinous finish. Is there a hint of booze there? Does what it says.

Tap at Vultures Lane. Clear golden with cream colored head. Grapefruit, peach, light citrus, dank weeds, caramel, sugary malts, light alcohol, grassy. Over medium sweet, bitter and bodied. Also had it from bottle and it seemed a little fruitier.

Tap at Lager Lager. Clear amber, low offwhite head. Tropical fruit purée hop aromatics, pine. Medium to full, resinny mouthfeel, pineapple, apricot and dragonfruit candy. A wee bit too sweet for my taste.

On tap at Brewers Cooperative. Pours orange brown. Orange, peach, earthy, bit of capsicum, maybe some of that earthiness is a black bean thing. Not as funny as expected, or that tasty.
