Description

Bottle at Vilvordia. Hazy yellow color, small white head. Aroma of white pepper. Taste is similar. Carbonation interferes with the flavor.

Bottle @ VBPF’12. Holy over carbonation batman!!

Hazy blond colour, firm white head. Aroma of butter, malts, wheat, biscuits, hay, grass, slight sour hints, light hops, grapefruit, light perfume tones, somewhat floral. Sweet malty flavour, wheat, light sour tones, light bitter hops. Light bitter finish, wheat tones with some light fresh sweets. It’s called ’nature-ale’ on the bottle, and does feel rather fresh. Quite nice.

4/III/2012 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: I/15, bottled: I/12 (2012-211)

Little cloudy pale yellow beer, towering white head, continuously fed by lots of fine streams of bubbles in the glass, very stable. Aroma: hay, wheat, sugary, herbal, grassy, some agrum fruits (grapefruit). MF: good carbon, full body. Taste: sour start, bit sugary, green herbs, grassy, wheat sourness, bitter hops. Aftertaste: little sour, dry herbal bitter hops, grassy notes. Good aperitif.

bottle - Pours dark brown with a small, long lasting tan head. It has an aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, and alcohol. The fruit is clearly more pronounced than it is in the regular Catherine the Great. The flavor is of sweet chocolate with dark fruit. The barrel was good for this beer and I liked it noticeably more than the regular Catherine brew.
