Description

Smiske R-Ale draft@ZBF 2011: “truesteamdryhoped” version, where a Hop Randall was used, I tried the version with Cascade hops, earlier in the day, poured a very cloudy, hazy orange, the structure was very grainy, chewy-like, taste was very strong on dry hops, followed by citrus, oranges & some yeast, with the dry hops leading to a very bitter aftertaste, it was like a hop, citrus-flavoured milkshake, all over the place, very unbalanced but very interesting & lovely

[3/6/11] Draught at ZBF 2011. As "Smiske R-Ale" poured through a Randall. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of fruit esters (banana, apples and more) and a bit of citric notes. Slightly strange flavor with yeast, fruits, something I can’t put my finger on and some slightly unpleasant phenols. Finishes bitter with some hops. Medium-bodied.

Bottled@Pressklubben, Stockholm. Slightly hazy ambery orange colour with a mediumsized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts along with some fruits, wood and mild grassy and alcoholic notes. Flavour is fruity, spicy, quite malty as well as mildly bitter. Alcohol is quite hidden in the flavour.

Draught Yellow, fine head, fast gone over copper-amber beer. Wood, wild fruit, wild cherries. Tame, dark malts flavour with some wood. Medium bodied, but with a watery, if slick finish. OK, but I’ve had more spectacular brews from Johan. Especially secret ones...

Draught (Pressklubben, Stockholm, shared by Omhper, thanks) - Hazy golden with a white head. Fruity, yeasty and hoppy aroma with notes of lemon and some musty elements detected. Sweet, fruity and hoppy taste with more citrus notes and some spicy elements. Not bad, if nothing remarkable.
