Description

Bottle at Kerstbier Festival, Essen, Belgique, 18.12.10 Found this very sweet, in fact a little bit too sweet, quite spicy. I was getting tangerines or clemantines until I looked around a few people sat behind me were peeling said fruits. Charlotte said that she tasted onions, and I sort of knew what she meant. This was quite thick in the mouth and a strange beer, not totally my thing. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

11/12/2010 - 33cl bottle @ home

A little cloudy, orange to amber coloured beer, thick white head, unstable and non adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, chemical, yeast, rotten stuff. MF: little too much carbon, medium to full body, thick texture. Taste: alcohol sweetness, malts, fruitiness and hops. Aftertaste: hopbitter, a little metallic, spices. Not bad, not super duper either.

11.2 oz bottle. Pored into a weizen glass and produce a ridiculous amount of head. No expiration date on the bottle, no telling how long it sat on the self. The head stayed the entire time, with light lacing. The standard Wit nose, orange peel, zest and coriander. A light mouthfeel with the standard Belgian Wit flavors, Is tis a good wit? Yes. Was it worth the price? No, you can find a Wit made in the states and spend less money but if you are overseas and can get this at a better price... do it!!

Bottle, 33cl. An almost clear, dark reddish pours yields a medium sized dense, beige head. The aroma has dried fruits, alcohol and beefstock, and that goes for the flavor too. Some alcohol and a roasted touch too in the aroma. Dry, full-bodied and smooth, and with a lasting finish with the same flavors found initially. A decent beer, quite tasteful and all that, but it doesn’t impress in any ways. 100611

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy caramel-brown color with a large foamy beige head that produced some lacing. The aroma was sweet ripe cherries, pears and berries with faint molasses and caramel. The flavor was intensely bitter, tart and sour with sharp cherry, lemon and prune notes and a slightly medicinal undertone. The finish was long, tart, bitter and sour. Medium body. Ok.

Early amateur rating warning! Tastles like a full bodied lager - not bad though! Can’t taste any mustard!
