Shared bottle, my last drink at the Grand Tasting at the RBNG-event at Fredrik 3.’s Hall. Dark golden body. Naked surface. Bread and honey on the nose. Sweet flavours of honey and dried fruits. Honeyed sweet ending. Much too sweet for me. Possible, but heavy to drink (Fredriksten festning, Halden 15.02.2014).

Appearance: Clear nutty brown color with head.
Aroma: Sweet fruity, flowery and vinous.
Palate: Full body and a bit sweet. No carbonation.
Taste: Fruity, flowery, honey, spicy and vinous.
Overall impression:A pleasant and warming mead.

Bottle shared by Fonefan at his place. Clear pale golden color, no head. Very nice flavor of honey, sweetness, fruityness. Round and smooth. Very nice.

Ceramic bottle, 16%. Vinous aroma, sweet port, hint of alcohol and honey. Clear dark brown colour. The flavour is very sweet with a good honey note. Syrupy mouthfeel, cloying sweetness, but good. Spicy honey aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours clear, thick, oily dark amber, leaving thin laces inside the glass. Deep aroma of honey with notes of fresh flowers. Sweet flavour of honey with floral notes and a mildly roasty touch. Warming alcohol presence. Good.

Bottle. Deep golden colour with no head. Aroma is alcohol, flower, honey, oak. Flavour is alcohol, flower, honey, oak, elder flower, citrus. Nice mead.

750ml pours out a dark amber. Great aroma of sweetness lots of honey, light booze, and some fruit. Taste is more of the honey sweetness, little bitter, herb notes, and a touch of booz. A pretty tasty mead for $16.

Ceramic bottle, courtesy of Geokkjer. A dark golden body with no head. Lovey vinous aroma of honey, flowers and perfume. Flavour is sweet, vinous, not to heavy honey and floral. Fine body and a long, sweet aftertaste. Nice, tasty and very harmonic, not to sweet and raw on the honey side, as I prefer my mead.
