Draft at SLO. Nose of light floral hops and honey. Clear gold with a medium, glass lacing white head. Flavor is sweet honeycomb with very light bitterness.

Draft at SLO. Nose was nice with lots of pine and ivy hops. Hazy orange gold with a medium off white head. Flavor is nicely bitter with some lighter caramel. Long lasting bitter finish.

Draft at SLO! Nose of caramel and wheaty sweetness. Clear amber with a small white head. Flavor is caramel. some sweetness, and a hint of bitterness in the background.

12oz bottle-pours a thin off white head and gold color with floaties in the bottle that become lots of very small floaties after poured. Aroma is mild lemon/pine, some malt. Taste is lemon/pine, some malt. Dry finish.. nice beer even without taking into account possible aging. Thanks jwc215 for sharing this.

Deep amber coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, nuts and a tiny bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong nuttiness in the taste with some malt and pit fruit flavours strong in the front. Aftertaste shows some blandness with some light yeast and nuts and just about nothing else. Overall, a decent amber, but definitely nothing special. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from BevMo in Caramel Valley (San Diego), California.

Draught at Claim Jumper, Lombard, IL. At first the bartender said this was buckwheat honey, which may be. Pours a light lager color with a thin lacy head. There is a nice honey smell that I don’t pick up with other commercial "honey" beers. Taste is mostly light malts, less complex than even a pilsener. But a definite body instead the watered down texture of a mega-brew, so points there. Not sticky, but definitely some honey present, balanced by a nondescript bittering. Not a beer geek’s beer, but a decent starter.

Draft at Claim Jumper, Lombard, IL as "Claim Jumper Original Red Ale" A pale red, close to a Leinenkugel red in color and temperament. Draft head poured well into a pint shaker, which had kind of a soapy smell. A pretty nice amber smell settles in later. Taste is smooth lightly toasted malts, with a kind of creamy quality.
