One of the strangest beers I've tasted, really not sure what it's trying to be. Just about managedsto stay on the beer side of the beer/kitchen cleaner divide. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a small, bubbly off-white head. Zesty aroma, big tart orange flavour and a touch of chewy wheat underneath

Shared third of a pint at the 31st Shrewsbury Beer Festival in St Mary's Church on 28th September 2023. Strange beer all round, poured a hazed golden colour with an off-white crown. Light orange nose and a wheat like flavour with a floral twist rather than a fruity orange flavour as the name suggests.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Real Ale Festival 2023. Pours a golden amber, small white head. Aroma is weedy, herbal. Taste brings to mind a herbal garden, dandelion, nettle.. certainly not much orange here. Bizarre.

24th July 2019, Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival in St Mary's Church. Third of a cask pint, almost black bodied with an off-white topping. Coffee and vanilla in both the nose and taste, liked it.

24th July 2019, Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival in St Mary's Church. Third of a cask pint, hazy golden body, white crown. Couldn't detect any rice (but it can be odourless and tasteless) in this pretty bland brew.

Cask @ The Albion Vaults. Pours black, thin off-white head that fades away. Moderate coffee nose, dark malts, roast. Fairly light bodied for a 7.5% stout, oily, moderate roast, gentle coffee presence.

Cask @ The Albion Vaults, pulled by the brewer. Pours clear gold, thin white topping. Pale golden ale malt on the nose. Taste presents a standard golden bitter in feel, very gently sweet, moderate bitterness, but perhaps a little thin in terms of malt body.

11th May 2019. Albion Vaults, Shrewsbury; hand-pulled half-pint. Nice black body, tanned crown. Rich and full bodied Stout with plenty going on, malty with a good chocolate smoothness.
