Tap. Amber color with a light haze. Aroma: berries, blueberries and blackberries, malt, jam, sweet, strange. Taste: berry, sour, juicy, blackberries jam.

Tap. Misty orange color, white foam. Aroma: very fruity and juicy, light citrus. Taste: fruity, juicy citrus, good hop bitterness.

Tap. Close black color, coffee foam. Caramel aroma, dried fruits, coffee, esters, prunes, wine, chocolate. Taste: caramel, chocolate, prunes, wine, medium hop bitterness. Not bad.

Tap. Reddish-golden color. Aroma: malt, fruits, esters, pear and spices, slightly yeast. Taste: spicy, pear, apple, malt, light hop bitterness, a bit tart.

Bottle. Cannot find BBD but I assume its not the freshest - was a last bottle on the shelf. Pours creamy and cloudy orange, thick foam head that has come to stay. Quite sturdy nose, lots of malty barleywine character, sweetish and some hints of overripe mango and tropical fruits, still some NZ hops in action. Taste is relatively rough, some sourish notes and lots of bitterness. Kind of harsh and unbalanced actually, rough drinking. Finish has its of lingering bitterness, herbal and really intense. Overall, I guess it is what it is, nose is the best part and everything else is unpolished and not the greatest.

500ml bottle. Milky, amber colour with huge, frothy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, pale sulphureous head. Slightly nuttily and spicy malty aroma, a touch of tye, fruity hoppy overtones with hints of red berries and orange, a dusty, yeasty touch, some pollen. Taste is mellow, minimally toasty and nuttily malty with a touch of peanut, fruity and citrusy hoppy, hints of mandarine, orange, red berries, some rye spiciness.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Max. Cloudy deep golden-orange. Slightly faint fruity hoppiness, malt, sweetish, bitter hops finish, medium-bodied, well-carbonated.
