Dark brown with quick fading head. It's roasted and bitter in the background with some coffee notes. Foreground is sweeter like a sweetened cappuccino. A bit thin and watery.

Hazy pale blond colour with lasting head. Very soft mouthfeel. Really dry and bitter too. Nice.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with a small cream head. The aroma is a combination of vanilla and lactose which really does give the impression of custard ! In the mouth the custard effect is still there and prominent. However you can also detect the creamy texture, roasted malts and some nutty flavour. Finish is bitter sweet. Bit of a gimmick, but it works because enough normal beer characteristics are retained.

Tried at BeerHeadz, Lincoln. Jet black colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are sweet vanilla, then more vanilla. Decent rich body, certainly leaves that custard impression.

Tap at Blind Tiger, Peterborough. Deep cloudy cherry colour with a thin off white head. Lots of berry and tart cherry. Hints of vanilla. Smooth body.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured an orange yellow with a frothy head. Aroma is mixed fruits, light mango and berry. Taste is nice mixed fruits, mango, blackcurrant, not to hoppy, but light bitterness.

6/2/2021. Bottle shared at the second Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. England vs Brazil. From Yupp.BEER. Pours hazy/cloudy orange gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma a mix of blackcurrant and mango, not a combo that quite worked for me. Tasted really good, nice sweet mango, light bitter and tart notes from the blackcurrant. Medium body, soft carbonation. Enjoyed the taste more than the aroma.
