Description
Created in May 2011, the Grenaille Microbrasserie was born from a desire to brew on a small scale, craft beers in the vicinity of Nancy.

All the beers of the Grenaille Brewery are brewed on site at the cooperative in Rosières aux Salines, using an artisanal method, by hand. These are top fermentation beers, unfiltered, unpasteurized and refermented in the bottle. They are produced under the label "Nature & Progrès" (specifications taking into account a global and united ecological reflection). Malts and hops are chosen according to their quality and origin (from organic farming and as local as possible).

Bottle. Light brown with small head. Sweet malts, caramel, light cocoa, spices and some nice lime touch. Quite sweet with herbal bitter finish. Some pine too in the finish. medium bodied. Decent, nothing too special but drinkable and quite complex.

Clear dark amber with good sized off-white head. Malts, lots of spicy honey, caramel, dried fruits, nice aromatic hops with a touch of pine and lime, and some ripe peach. Quite sweet without being cloying. medium bodied with full carbonation. Overall pretty good for a French amber beer.

Tap at some youth/community center in Nancy. Clear light amber with big white head. Massive fruit (apple, orange (really)) and lots of spices. Medium sweet, with slight roasted bitterness and bitter hoppy finish. Medium bodied and creamy feel. Very nice stuff. Wouldn’t guess it was a blonde but the brewer assured me it was. Update: bottle. More dark golden with big white head. Same as above but with more honey and less fruit.
