50cl bottle picked up in Henley. A coke coloured pour with a fast fading tan head; aroma of richly roasted malts with a good dose of chocolate; soft and silky in the mouth with sweet, earthy, well-toasted malts; and a pleasant bitterness, with a lactic finish. Not bad.

Cask at The Cock Tavern, London. Pours clear brown with a weak, white foam head. Dark, bready malt nose with hints of cocoa. Light sweet flavor with lots of leaves, faint cocoa, light earth, very mild tangy fruit. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish with semi-dark malts, faint tang, dirt, mild leafy bitterness. Condition is dubious on this one, unfortunately.
