8/10 β€” Appearance 8 Aroma 8 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 8
Poured from a 510 ml bottle.
Aroma is malt forward with lots of chocolate notes and some lighter dark caramel and toffee. Moderate vanilla notes with some roast. Light barrel and bourbon notes with light alcohol notes.
Pours jet black with dark brown hues on the edges and a medium sized, thick, dark mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers on the edges.
Flavor is very sweet with lots of chocolate and quite a bit of dark caramel and toffee. Lighter roast and some tootsie roll notes. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Fairly strong vanilla notes. Faint oak and light bourbon notes.
Mouthfeel is fairly full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a solid barrel aged vanilla imperial stout. Fairly sweet, but not overly so. Balanced bitterness and alcohol notes. Great malt complexity and good vanilla notes.

Poured from a 510 ml bottle. Aroma is a balanced blend of chocolate and roast with some dark caramel, toffee and graham crackers as well. Lighter treacle and molasses. Faint leather. Light rye bourbon and alcohol notes. Honest of oak. Pours jet black with a medium large, thick, frothy, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with lots of chocolate, dark caramel, toffee and graham crackers. Lighter roast, molasses and treacle. Hints of leather and ash. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Medium light rye bourbon notes and hints of oak and vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied and a bit silky and creamy with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, this is an exceptional stout. I remember first having Silva Stout from Green Flash and this is even better. Great malt notes with loads of flavor and a mouthfeel that really accentuates the malt notes. Rye notes come through really nicely as well. Alcohol is well hidden and this goes down super easy without being an overly sweet pastry stout.

Poured from an undated 16 oz can. Aroma is moderately hop forward with citrus notes of grapefruit pith, orang and some lemon lime notes. Light cracker malt notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a somewhat hazy, slightly dull, golden color with a medium large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light cracker malt notes and a touch of light caramel. High bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong hop notes of grapefruit pith and herbal, resin notes. Lighter orange, lemon and lime notes. The herbal, oily resin notes linger in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent West Coast IPA. I'm not sure equanot is a hop I really like, but it works well in West Coast IPAs. Alcohol is well hidden and the malt and is just big enough to carry the assertive bitterness.

Part of three beer flight inside Paso Market Walk on 11th July 2024 after a day of wine tasting, the evening in here was to give me six new rates! Clean and clear light golden body, fast fading white top. Semi-dank citrus feel to this Mosaic hop brew, refreshing but a little too bland for my palate.
