12oz bottle. Medium thick orange-brown color, minimal head. Sweet balanced aroma. Medium bodied. A pretty nice pale ale, with some taosty caramel maltiness backed up by a solid earthy hop bill. Earthy and sweet aftertaste. Mild bitterness, but solidly hopped. Smooth, easy, and classic while still displaying it’s quality ingredients.

12oz bottle. Thick black color, with just a hint of ruby red in the edges. Massive foamy tan head. Big time chocolate aroma. Thick and roasty, lots of deep crystal malt nuances. There is some pronounced sandy bitterness as well, which balances it out quite well. Almost creamy at times, but finishes with a bitter hop/cocoa kick. A really solid, well done big porter.

12oz bottle. Very light, thin, pale yellow color with just a hint of haze. Minimal oily head. Sweet lemony aroma with a touch of wheat. Medium to light bodied, an easy drinker for sure. Very interesting balance between the hops and wheat, with a light malty sweetness bridging them together. Some mellow lemony citrus undertones as well. Not super aggressive, but the hops are certainly more pronounced than your typical Wit. An interesting concoction, worth a try.

22oz bottle. Cloudy, thick, orange-tan with a fluffy white head. The aroma is quite fresh, with some effervescent citrus. Sweet and tangy, but dry, with some solid wheaty tart funk that sticks around in the aftertaste. This is actually one of the truer to style US Saisons Ive had, with that rich farmhouse twang. Some faint spice notes as well. Superb.

Bottle from skyview, thanks Bob. Pours with barely any head and a very dark brown color, no light edges at all. Aroma is strong on a dry Russian black bread, very earthy and dry. I don’t know if its the peat or what by its really cool. Some light alcohol comes through as it warms up. Taste has that same sweetness on top of the black bread with a very dark soil, earthiness, dry, bark-y, just a spectacular splendor of dark, earthy, deep,. Scottish beer. Some chocolate notes in the flavor as well. A bit of earthy bitterness at the end.
12oz bottle, Gordon thistle glass.

Deep brown. Rich brown sugar molasses nose, appealing. Nice chocolatey malt flavors, leading to a semi dry finish and just a kiss of a spicy hop.

Thanks to Skyview for this one. Roasted nuts. Very dry beer, with malt and mild hops. Light red color and very low carbonation. It is well crafted but the dry malt isn’t for me.

Pour is a bright yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a nice banana and clove with hops. Flavor is a little funk and yeast with some cloves and pepper. It seems this is a fairly new operation and it seems that they are trying thier best. First beer at the GTMW!

Another from Skyview’s growler. Thanks Bob. Aroma of dry grass and yeast. Dry flavor, vegetables and wildgrass. Dry hops. Some alcohol flavor. Very dry overall. Enjoyable, and a better saison than I expect from a small brewpub in rural Wisconsin.
