Bottled. Deep red/brun (rustic amber)coloured with quickly dissipating head. Lot of roasty, smoky malty and caramel. Nutty flavours held up well by the strong bitter backbone.

Dark bitter with little aroma and a generally dry flavour. Overall a standard dry and watery English bitter.

Poured from the bottle, a slightly cloudy amber/brown, the head quickly disappeared. A hoppy aroma with melon notes, nicely combined with malt. A sweet maltiness taste with a bitter finish.

A slightly hazy brown beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and nuts. The flavor is very nutty, but also fruity, and with a dry bitter end.

Light brown very flavourful bitter, plenty of malt and good bitterness, decent finish. Visit the brewery evey year on holidays to pick up a case or two and this in my opinion is by far and away their best beer. Very good beer.

Bottled (BB 05/2007). Light amber color, small white head. Aroma has honey, grass and flowery hops - very summery nose. Medium-bodied. Well-hopped, some lemon and apricot underlying. Refreshing and tasty for being only 4.0%.

Cask@The Kings Arms, Salisbury. Rating #2500. Copper brown, small creamy off-white head. Crisp fruity nose. Light palate - nutty, a bit fruity. Drinkable, but uninteresting - too light to be real session ale.

Cask. Clear, golden, with an off-white head leaving nice lacings. The aroma is fruity, with lemony hops. A bit low on maltyness I think. A bit too lemony in the flavor, with just a bit malty sweetness. Thin to medium body that is lightly sticky in the mouth. Quite quaffable, but not my favourite Ringwood. (060712)

Bottle conditioned: deep chestnut-brown coloured, firm rocky tanned head; light roast-malty aroma with some fruity traces; light sweetish-bitter flavour; dry roasted-malty finish, accompanied by some oranges, some roasted bitterness in the aftertaste. A pleasant and very well drinkable Porter !
