Description
In 1853 Jean-Théodore Piedboeuf started brewing. The company mainly developed after 1905 under the impetus of Henri Piedboeuf and his brother-in-law Albert Van Damme. Through the years the company grew strongly through acquisitions. The Piedbœuf brewery merged in 1988 with the Artois Brewery in Leuven to form the Interbrew group. In 2004, it merged with Brazilian brewer Companhia de Bebidas das Americas (AmBev) to form the InBev company. In 2008 it merged with Anheuser-Busch, creating the Anheuser-Busch InBev group. This group has four breweries in Belgium, including the location in Jupille, which was renamed Brasserie Jupiler.

Watery beginning. Watery main part with nice carbonation. Probably some hints of beer in the back. Hard to tell. Nice refreshing watery finish with a light beery flavour in the back. For a Water + aroma pleasant, for a beer not.

Served from Perfect Draft. Brilliant white foamy head left a froth on a dull golden coloured body. Sweet, malt & berry aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft with lively back. Malt, grain & fruity tastes. It's cold, wet & refreshing.

330 ml can from a grocery store in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Pours a crystal clear yellow color with a small white head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Standard pale lager aroma. Grainy and sweet pale malt flavor with minor sulfur notes mixed in, and some diacetyl in the finish. Cheap, basic, inoffensive lager. Belgian Bud Light? Light body. Low carbonation and low bitterness. Refreshing on a hot day. Haters gonna hate.

clear golden colour, moderate sized creamy ecru-ish white head; aroma of apple peel, pear, floral and some grainy notes; taste has the same notes with some hoppy bitterness; surprisingly good NA beer

66 cl tankard at Jupiler Gate, Brussels International Airport (Zaventem.) A crystal clear, ultra-filtered, bubbly pale golden pour with virtually no head, not even from tap: just a foamy off-white ring that lasts a second or two. Aroma is rather low, and thank goodness: sweaty towel, gym locker room, rush-hour subway car, funky armpit... There's a hint of porridge behind all that. Fizzy onset, as if it were some pop. Watery, bland, just a tinge of bitterness in the dull finish. Very bad, even more so coming from Belgium: Jupiler should know better.

Dink pour from the tap for the tick, since I’m in Belgium… clear pale blonde with small white head. An okay lager.

(Yes!) Small, slick, glass-sticking off-white head over deep golden beer, cold hazed. Peculiar smell, as from wet, decaying hay; sulphur, putteke , but also honey, honey cereals. Hay, dune grasses, sugar. Again a tad honeyish, nectar. Totally empty feel, medium carbonation, metallic aftertaste. Less trying than expected. In fact, better than 'real' Jupiler, would you believe!
