Description
A little background... In Richmond Virginia’s unbelievable beer scene, one of the pioneering brewpubs is a place called the Answer. Brandon Tolbert, as many of the craftiest craft beer folks know, was the head brewer and creative force behind this brewpub. He left the Answer a short while ago, when they started taking a different approach to making beer, and set out to do his own thing.
Well, flash forward to today and Brandon’s new creative project is imminently happening.

47 cl can @ TimoA. Aroma has odd candy aromas, flour and grapefruit. Flavour has grass, dill, some herbal tones and grapefruity hops. Creamy and somewhat foamy palate. Okay-ish stuff, the hop profile is not my thing. Rated on 2021-03-29.

473ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Rather weak, somehow suppressed, citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemon peel, a touch of yuzu, lemongrass. Taste is citrusy and minimally floral hoppy, bitter mineral, minimally chalky, dry oaty malty with subtle residual sweetness, notes of lemon, limoncello, a touch of lemongrass. Slightly creamy, watery texture, dry palate, fine, foamy, prickly, almost effervescent carbonation. Intense and condensed citrus flavours,

Super hazy golden, peach and orange coloured body with a bright glow that shows a bunch of unfiltered notes here, probably around 90 per cent opaque - nice! Aroma of fresh-cut grass, flowers, dry malt and a good deal of oranges, mangoes and of course, pineapple, all noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strong pineapple flavour at first with a bunch of grass, flowers, mango, orange, grapefruit and light hoppiness, but the malt gives it some nice support and the sweetness is noticeable throughout. Aftertaste is very crisp from the fruits with pineapple by far the strongest here along with some oranges and residual alpha acids from the hops. Overall, this is a great, very pineapple-y beer that works well, especially here in the heat of Florida during the turn of the New Year, and along with the malt and sweetness, the pineapple and hops added a ton to this one, in a great way. Very nice to sample and very well-recommended if you can find it! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 30-December-2020 for US$5,22 sampled in my hotel room around the corner here in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on New Year's Day, 01-January-2021.
