Description
Arts District Brewing Company, one of Los Angeles’ few craft brewpubs, opened in December 2015 in Downtown LA’s historic Arts District. With an on-site, 15-barrel brewhouse capable of producing 3,300 barrels of beer each year, Arts District Brewing Company debuted with nine original beers ranging from golden ales to stouts to IPAs. The 17,000 square-foot space also features a sprawling main room and bar which can house as many as 500 guests, as well as an outdoor patio which seats 90. The brewpub also includes an expansive entertainment area with a photobooth and multiple classic bar games available, including ping-pong, cornhole, darts and 10 restored vintage Skeeball machines. Bar snacks from chef Neal Fraser’s Fritzi are also available via a take-out window connected to the restaurant.

Peach, raspberry and something almost like vanilla. Murky apricot orange pour with good pillow of head and lacing. Light tang in finish. Body a little thin, but overall feel is still great. Tap at Blue Palm.

Sample at GABF 10/05/2019, thanks to kathryneels for assistance with note-taking. Dark reddish-brown color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of tart cherry, yeast and malt. Medium body with a tart cherry character and notes of berry, oak, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a blackberry and cherry aftertaste; Pretty good overall.

GABF 2017. Lots of malt flavor. it is dry; it could use some more hop flavor but solid nonetheless.
