Description
Formerly known as 'La Face Cachée De La Pomme' and 'Domaine Neige' but those names no longer legally belong to François Pouliot. But this is the same orchard where the original ice cider producer continues his business after losing his trademark names in a legel settlement with his former business partners.

RBWG14 Trip Rating #42. 2009 Bottle shared by MaxxDaddy at the Friday Night Downtown Inn Bottle Share. Rock on! Pours a hazy dark orange color. Aroma of bright and tart apples, brown sugar, mild earthy and peppery notes. The taste is intense tart apple, baked apples, apple skins, mild earth and vanilla. Medium bodied, lingering fruit, intense all around. These guys continue to amaze.

(19/01/2014) 2009 Vintage. 375 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Martinus. Clear copper amber appearance. Smell is spectacular, sweet apple, syrupy, cinnamon, flowers, concentrated apple sugar / syrup, apple tree, wood, very sweet & perfectly balanced with mild tartness at the very same moment. Taste is mind-blowing. Sweet, touch Sirop de Liège but less sweet than the real deal, incredible rich apple juice, caramel, cinnamon, candy, sweet herbs, dash nutmeg, apple tree, faintest of acidity balances everything, natural sugar, apple skins etc. Smooth, faintly oily, absolutely spectacular. REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, FREAKING GOOD. 5/5

Bottle split at the HUUUUUUUUUUUUGeeeeee Tasting bash, big thanks to Paulo, 03/01/14. Clear golden with moderate white spotting and edgework. Nose is light puke, sweet smelling apple pulp, sugar, vanilla, apple Danish strudel. Taste comprises apple pulp, apple pie filling, Apple strudel notes, pure apple hit. Full bodied, soft carbonation, slick feel, sweet closure with warming booze seeping into play. Decent.

Bottle shared at the mega tasting of ultimate doom. It pours clear deep golden amber. The nose is intense, fresh red apple, oily, honey and vanilla. Perhaps a touch too sweet on the nose. The taste is smooth, tangy apple, candy, oily, honey, warming alcohol, apple skin, pear and nuances of tartness and sherbet. Full body and oily mouth-feel. Smooth, rich and slick. Really nice balance. Intense appley goodness.
