Bottle from Vinmonopolet. No head. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich apples, appletrees, sugary notes and alcohol. Extremely powerful. Wonderful.

375 ml clear corked bottle in cardboard box, from Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget. ABV is 13%. Deep golden colour. no carbonation. Intense aroma of oxidised cider apples, hints of oak (though apparently this ice cider has not been matured on oak). Intense and very concentrated and very sweet flavour of apples, dessert apples as well as cider apples. A very interesting and unusual cider, I have never tasted anything like it. Irresistably moreish. The price in Norway is ridiculously high, though.

375 ml bottle. Thanx to Gunnfryd. Clear golden and a bit oily body with no head. Aroma of concentrated matured apples, smooth and not very strong but really obvious. Flavor is super sweet, matured apples in perfect balance with soft acidity and some kind of bitterness. Warming alcohol saves this from being sticky sweet, feels more like some kind of noble sweet. Comparable with Eiswein. Full body, smooth and long aftertaste. Delicious.

Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has notes of sour sweet apples, vanilla and a hint of alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light sour. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, thx gunnfryd. A still, dark golden drink, completely flat and headless. The aroma is intense, not super complex in any way, but with lots of apples, some sweetnes, orchard and a hint of cores. Caramel hints and some faint resemblance to Calvados as well. Full-bodied, lightly warming and superbly smooth on the palate. The flavor is equally good as the aroma, lots of apples, in a very concentrated way. Shite, this is just plain f..ing wonderful. Huge thanks to adneilsen for sharing - clear copper pour - aroma of spice, overripe apple, alcohol warmth - quite similar to the premiere, but without the bracing acidity to balance the fairly syrupy sweetness - the flavor is quite nice, once again much like distilled essence - the sweetness is quite high, so it could use a little more balance, but it is still tasty and truly unique.

Bottle @ Brandon’s house. Clear, golden orange appearance with no head. Toasty caramel apple, brown sugar, warm apple aroma. Rich toffee, caramel apple, sugary sweet, brown sugar flavor. Fun to try!

Thanks to adneilsen for sharing - clear golden brown appearance - aroma is all juicy, bright, fully ripe apple, a light touch of spice - flavor has a lovely balance of sweet, slightly overripe apple and tart apple acidity - quite hard to describe - as if the essence of apple in its entirety has been distilled - lightly acidic punch of the end balances the high sweetness - quite nice.

Rating #2100. 2006 bottle from a trade with Boutip. Labeled La Face Cachée de la Pomme Neige Ice Cider - 12% abv. Pours clear dark golden color with no head. Aromas of apples and booze. Very sweet apple flavor with lots of alcohol. Thick and syrupy. A great dessert drink. Thanks Phil.
