Bottle from Walmart, Portland
Hazy amber color. It has some caramel aroma and flavor, but unfortunately itβs rather stale and it has also light sourness, probably infected.
Not very good.

12oz bottle poured into goblet glass Augustign goblet. Clear and dark ruby color. Lacing covers the surface of the beer. This is an Americanized English Strong Ale or maybe a session American Strong Ale. Aroma is unsugary slightly spoiled fruit maltiness. Its almost a bit barleywine-like. There is a bit of toasted malt. Nothing overpowering but strong. Flavor is sweet dark fruits at first and it fades quickly to an earthy malt with a faint generic hop end. Lightly sweet but unsugary, low hop character, well restrained but strong dark fruit presence. Its like a mini barleywine. Cascade Lakes is 2 for 2 with me, Iβm always not expecting much but am very pleasantly surprised.

Bottle: Light golden color topped with a large creamy white head. Tons of sticky sheet lacing. Aroma is very PNWβ¦ lots of citrus and pine. Dank hops. Potent and inviting. Taste is a bit dry and floral, dusty. Lingering bitters. Some grapefruit and faint sweetness, but also a little soapy. The nose is really strong and nice, but the taste falls a little short. Itβs not bad, but better flavor development could have been a homerun.

Nice porter, only knock against it is an abrupt finish. Tap poured nice and rich, creamy, foamy head, lots of sticky lacing. Coffee / cocoa aroma, roast grains, mild bitterness. Lots of dark chocolate.

12 oz bottle poured. Brought a six pack of this back home after a fantastic visit to their brew pub. A really interesting, yet inviting malt aroma. Very malty beer, and the flavor is very nice. Definite hop presence towards the finish. Nutty flavor as well. Very much enjoy this beer.

12 oz bottle pour. Pours a dark brown color with barely any head. Iβm starting to think I just love porters all around, and this one was no exception. Nice roasted chocolate malt aroma. Gentle roasted flavor, medium body brew. A bit of dark chocolate on the finish. Looking forward to trying more from these guys. Iβll be visiting them soon. Good beer.
